Welcome + Bienvenue! A little about me… My name is Corinne Golden (hence the inspiration for the blog’s title, Gold&Thyme, aka Golden Time) and cooking is my meditation. I find it’s one of the only times when my mind is at peace. There is a certain kind of flow, like in yoga, and with each breath and pose, I transition from one ingredient to another…chopping, mixing, tasting…
A year ago, both for health and environmental reasons, my boyfriend, Marc, and I decided to experiment and transition towards eating only plant-based foods. We also chose to stop eating refined flours and sugars, and sometimes, gluten-free as well. Thus, I’ve been re-inspired to find new ways of making some of my favorite recipes, and creating new recipes, using only wholesome, nutritious and seasonal ingredients, which make me feel great. Juicing has also become part of our daily regiment and then energy we get from drinking pounds and pounds of vegetables has been life-changing. My skin is glowing, I feel lighter, my digestion is better and I sleep better.
Gold&Thyme is a place where I share my interests, my love for photography, nature, the color of sea glass, afternoon naps, and my way of life. I’m Berkeley-born and Paris-based, which makes for a perfect combination of roots and bohemian.
